potted moss

so i love green.. and thought the green moss growing on our roof was sort of sweet.. in a charming kind of way. Apparently, our home insurance inspector thought it needed to go.. so I opened and upstairs window and raked it off.. i know what you are thinking.. crazy woman, at least that's what my husband thought. What to do with all this charming moss, that happens to be my favorite color?

how about a low maintenance houseplant.. I had a couple old pots, filled them with dirt and there you go. turned out pretty cute don't you think ? You can find live moss at any gardening store but it can be pricey.. so try going hiking, you'll be sure to come across some. For some extra charm.. it would be pretty sweet to spray paint the pots different colors or even spray them with chalkboard paint! I have a couple crafts coming up with all kinds of chalk fun.. stay tuned :).

here is a photo of Mr. Kobes.. watching me pot the moss.. He thinks I'm crazy too.
